The Group meets 2nd Friday of the month from 9th September 2022 in Meadowcroft Community Rooms, Addison Crescent, Upper Stratton, SN2 7JX from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

This group is for members and others to present science-based talks on subjects such as (but not limited to) astronomy, medicine, scientists, humans, evolution, chemistry, technology, oceans, science history, engineering, transport, disease, geography, climate, biology, nature, gases, and so on. The presentations may be 45-60 minutes long, or occasionally there will be a themed meeting where many members can each contribute short presentations on a subject. That gives more people the opportunity to get used to doing presentations in a much shorter, simpler format without necessarily having to stand up in front of an audience. The second half of each meeting is for tea and biscuits and open discussions. The meetings are every second Friday of the month except August, from 2-4.
