Applying for Membership

The subscritpion year runs from 1st September to 31st August. No new members are accepted after 30th April, but new members may join from 1st July for the following subscription year starting on 1st September and use their new membership for the remainder of the current year.

The Members joining from 1st March pay a reduced subscription.

For the year 2025/26 the subscription is £10.00 - £5.00 from 1st March.

Members of another U3A, which pays their Third Age Trust fee, may join as an associate and the subscription will be reduced by the Third Age Trust's fee making a full year subscription £5.50 and a reduced subscription from 1st March of £2.75.

You will appreciate that in the present circumstances a lot of our activities are not operating. It is hoped that with the planned easing of restrictions, activity groups will be able to resume normal actitivities in September. It is always advised that you contact activity groups in which you are interested before joining, but especially so at present. You can explore our actitities by clicking here. If you are not paying by Online Banking or Credit Card you will still need to send in your payment to the office. Please reference any payment as instructed on the application form.

If you have an email address, you will receive a welcome email once your application has been processed. This may take a day or two, especially in normal subscription renewal period. If, two weeks after submitting your application, you have had no communication, please contact the office.

Membership cards are not issued as standard now, but your welcome email will contain a link to your card, which you may either print or save as a file.
